Professional Certification in Somatic Sex Education- Sexological Bodywork
April 17-August 24, 2017

Imagine a life spent helping people access the joy and power of erotic energy, with the support of extensive training, a professional association, and clear guidelines for practice. The Canadian Professional Somatic Sex Educator Training certifies Somatic Sex Caffyn Jesse teaching the science of sexological bodyworkEducators/Sexological Bodyworkers. We are part of a global movement for healing personal and cultural relationships with sexual energy.

This course involves training in a variety of modalities, including breath work, consent empowerment, erotic bodywork, pelvic release bodywork (genital dearmouring), scar tissue remediation, and Orgasmic Yoga coaching. We teach fundamental principles for having a trauma-informed practice, and the science that supports our work. We discuss basic business models for somatic sex educators, and teach professional protocols.

Although we learn and practice a wide variety of massage and other touch techniques, we are somatic sex educators who focus on educating and empowering clients, rather than massage practitioners. The Canadian training includes and expands upon the original California-approved course of studies for Certified Sexological Bodywork. (Sexological Bodywork has been a licensed profession in California since 2003.)

This professional training welcomes people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, characteristics, or expressions.

Upon completion of all requirements, students will be awarded the Certificate in Somatic Sex Education (Level 1: Certified Sexological Bodywork) by the Somatic Sex Educators Association.

Graduates from this professional training can become members of The Association of Certified Sexological Bodyworkers (ACSB) and Somatic Sex Educators’ Association (SSEA).

(Level 2 is an advanced training for Certified Sexological Bodyworkers. MORE HERE.)
